All concerned are hereby informed that the Offices of Commissioner (General), Commissioner (Import), Commissioner (Export) in New Custom House, Mumbai, CFS Mulund and Docks will remain open on Saturday i.e. 31 st March, 2007 for all the work relating to assessment and examination of goods as on a normal working day.
All are requested to take note of above.

FACILITY NOTICE NO. 01 / 2007 |
1. Attention of Importers and CHA’s is invited to a large number of Bs/E still being shown as pending on the EDI system even though substantial time has lapsed since the Bs/E were filed. Some of these Bs/E are as old as year 2000.
2. It is likely that most of such Bs/E would have been cleared manually after payment of duty on specific approval on hard copy on account of particular circumstances and the same are being shown as pending on the EDI. Some of the Bs/E may actually be pending on account of specific circumstances.
3. A list of all Bs/E filed on or before 31st October, 2006 and still being shown as pending in EDI is being appended as annexure to this Public Notice and the same is available on Mumbai Customs Website at www.mumbaicustoms.gov.in.
4. All concerned importers and CHAs are advised to go through the said list and bring the updated status in respect of Bs/E pertaining to them to the Deputy / Assistant Commissioner incharge of the Group alongwith relevant documents like copy of manual B/E, duty payment particulars, copy of Port Trust Gate Pass etc., at an early date and in any case by 28th February, 2007 positively.
5. Once requisite documents are submitted to the Group Dy./ Asstt. concerned, DC/AC concerned after satisfying himself about payment of duty and clearance of consignment from Custom Charge would delete the pending Bs/E from the list.
